Professional Highlights

  • Mr. Rowe is co-principal trumpet of The Chesapeake Orchestra.
  • Carlton Rowe joined The United States Marine Band (“The President's Own") in 1971, where he was principal trumpet for 19 of his 22 years of service. As a member of The Marine Band he played in the White House Orchestra for many distinguished visitors, heads of state and other diplomatic guests, toured 48 states, was soloist on 3 National tours, including performances in Russia, England, Ireland, The Netherlands, and Norway. While in the band he also performed with many visiting artists, including Beverly Sills, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, and Bob Hope.
  • For ten years Mr. Rowe served as E-flat cornetist with The Brass Band of Battle Creek, an internationally recognized ensemble, and toured the UK with that ensemble in 1998. Mr. Rowe also toured for six months with Mr. Jack Daniels Silver Cornet Band. Mr. Rowe was for ten years a member of Washington Symphonic Brass and has performed with The Harrisburg Symphony, The National Symphony, The Washington National Opera, The Baltimore Opera, and The National Philharmonic Orchestra.
