BA (first class honours) University of Huddersfield, UK; M.S./Ph.D. Virginia Tech, USA. I've also taught at Victoria University of Technology (Australia) and Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (Europe).
My main areas of expertise are entrepreneurship and sustainable business strategy/policy (the focus of my doctoral dissertation, defended in 1994). I have worked with Pillsbury LLP for six years, writing business and marketing plans for newly-patented technologies. I also served as Chief Strategy Officer and board member for two wind energy start-ups. I served on the board of AIDS Response Effort and the Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy Fund. Rosenstock-Huessy (1888-1973) was a professor of social philosophy at Dartmouth College, a pioneer in the field of voluntary service and an original thinker ahead of his time.
Current: study of US cleantech sector (joint research project with Copenhagen Capacity/Cleantech Cluster).
Presented at NYU-Stern's 6th Annual Slatter Conference on Social Entrepreneurs (session chair).
Recently co-authored a case on wind energy with Prof Andy Larson, published by the University of Virginia.
Serve as a reviewer for the Academy of Management Learning and Education Journal (ranked 8th among all Management journals and 2nd among all Education journals).
My grandmother turned 100 on September 11 and still calls the shots!
