After retiring from teaching "" years in K-"" public schools in Virginia, I am really enjoying being a teacher-educator, helping to train future special education teachers.

I was given a Graduate School Teaching Excellence Award in 2006 by Hood College when I was director of the M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction Program. I was the lead author of an article entitled Using Technology to Create Effective Co-Teaching Partnerships in Inclusive Classrooms, published Spring 2008 in Focus on Inclusive Education, a quarterly publication of the Association for Childhood Education International.
I am married with two grown daughters and two grand-daughters. I live in Round Hill, VA. I am active in the United Methodist Church, and once trained as a Christian Clown and led a children's clown troupe at Arcola United Methodist Church for eight years.
