The field of occupational therapy has provided me with opportunities to work in other countries, with many different populations, and in many different settings. In this field, you are never bored. After many years as a practitioner, I now find it very fulfilling to teach. This allows me to watch the transformation of young people into entry level practitioners. It is all the more exciting to do this in the lovely Shenandoah Valley.

My primary field of expertise is children, especially those with sensory processing issues. I have also conducted research related to handwriting and time use in young children.
Sensory Stories were published in 2006. This is a new intervention model for children with sensory modulation issues that was developed with a New York colleague, Victoria Nackley.
I enjoy traveling, decorating, and a wide range of crafts.
